Dr. Khelly Savant graduated Summa Cum Laude from Drexel University and obtained her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine. She completed her ophthalmology residency at the Institute of Ophthalmology and Visual Science at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. Her training at an inner-city Level I Trauma Center exposed her to complex pathology, challenging surgeries, and ocular trauma. Dr. Savant was elected as Chief Resident and received the Alfonse A. Cinotti, MD Award for Academic and Professional Excellence.
Following her residency, she pursued a glaucoma fellowship at the prestigious Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins. Dr. Savant possesses expertise in a broad range of traditional and modern glaucoma surgical techniques, including various tube shunt drainage devices, trabeculectomy, minimally invasive stents, lasers, and cataract surgery. Her approach to patient care is guided by three core principles: never becoming complacent, treating patients like family, and staying updated with the latest technology and advancements. She is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Glaucoma Society.
In her leisure time, Dr. Savant enjoys dancing, exploring new restaurants, and traveling with her husband.
